This city apartment makeover was done on a beautiful high-ceilinged apartment located in the stunning City location close to the Technical Universities. Our brief was to transform this grand property with its dated 1970s interior, into a property suitable for the rental market.
We designed an open plan kitchen /Diner/ Lounge and updated the bathroom. Suspended low ceiling lights along the length of the long corridor, bringing light to the internal space. Revealed and polished the charming parquet flooring, and rewired and painted throughout. This renovation was done within a month and on a tight budget.
The banquet dining area seating was ripped out, the tiles removed from the floor to reveal some beautiful parquet flooring, which we were delighted to find. It only needed a good clean and a polish up.
Wiring was chased into the walls throughout, made good and all the walls freshened up with a white coat of paint. All carpets were removed, and the parquet floor polished.
We replaced the dated bathroom, adding a new low cistern toilet, a much larger bathtub. We installed a floating basin to give a more open feel to the space, and hung a large mirror and a high-level towel rail, once we had re-tiled the walls. Adding new lighting, also gave a whole new look to the room.
We are pleased to know that since the renovations in 2014, this apartment has become sought after and has consistently rented out to professional tenants.
