This seems to be a natural choice of progression from the dark greys and blues that are so popular, and heading towards that pale blush pink that has been around for few years now! Heart Wood sits somewhere between a smokey taupe and a dusky mauve.
A bit more mauve that I would like – you know like when you have sprayed that bit too much perfume and it can be a bit overwhelming? I do think I would personally tire of the Heart Wood after a while, but the hue looks pretty as a backdrop, add some black accessories, and accents of antigue gold, or even pops of colour, such as natural greens, terracottas and yellows, and it would make the room a harmonious space.
